Youth Solidarity Campaign
Campaign by Asylum Welcome (RCN 1092265)
Inspiring Oxford students and friends to show solidarity with the many young asylum seekers and refugees - their peers - who arrive alone in the city and are helped by Asylum Welcome.

Story

The pandemic has meant a rise in complex cases among Asylum Welcome's clients: more cases of hardship, homelessness and destitution, and domestic violence. The weekly hardship grants demanded almost 4 times the pre-covid amount. The demand for AW's services continues to grow, and especially for those young students (the 17-25yr bracket making up 20% of clients) who have been disproportionately affected by the pandemic, a step away from homelessness and with their legal status uncertain.

We are two sisters (15 and 17 years old) running to support young asylum seekers and refugees to achieve their aspirations. We are young students too and we want to support AW's clients. We are all one Oxfordshire community!
