Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
From personal experience MIND have been an incredible charity, and support network in the last few years. Their website and resources really help your understanding of mental Health issues, and make sure you know that you are not alone.
For me, every single person i have had contact with, from MIND have been super kind and supportive. My own experience with mental, is partly what has motivated me to do this challenge, and for this charity.
I decided to run the Marathon after watching a programme on tv, about 5 people, who suffered with mental health issues training to run the marathon. Their stories were inspiring, and it initiated my desire to follow in their footsteps. My own mental health issues have meant that i can go days upon days feeling as though life has no purpose, and feeling incredibly alone and worthless- despite having some fantastic friends, and a loving and caring family.
With help from my family, friends and charities like MIND i'm pleased to finally be in a good place, where i'm looking forward to the future and trying to live in the now. Of course there are still times where things go a bit backward, but i'm learning that it is all a part of the journey :).
This is where the marathon comes in!
This pretty intimidating challenge is something that will hopefully give me that extra bit of motivation to get up every morning, and do something awesome, for such a worthwhile charity.
If you could please sponsor me, as little or as much as you can, i will really appreciate it. If any of you would like to support me on the day of the event too, that would be absolutely fab.
Thank you lovely people <3
