Story
My little girl was diagnosed with Leukaemia a month before she turned 2 years old. She has fought hard over the last 2 and half years and recently she finished her treatment! I can’t describe or explain what this journey has been like. It’s been one heck of a rollercoaster. I most definitely couldn’t of got through it without the support of my family and friends, but most of all Zain, my son and big brother to Aiya. He was 6 when she became poorly, no child should have to witness and experience what his baby sister has been through. He’s now turning 9 and I’m in ore of his strength and courage. Yes of course it was Aiya who had the Leukaemia, but she was tiny and didn’t know any difference, sadly she thought all this was normal. She’s been our Princess Warrior from day one and will always be. I couldn’t be prouder to be their mummy. Aiya has no idea how strong she is and how much joy she brings to our lives.
So I want to raise funds for Cure Leukaemia to help put something back. So if you can support me by donating even £1 I will really appreciate it. Thank you.
The Simplyhealth Great Birmingham Run will take place on Sunday October 14th 2019 and Cure Leukaemia will have another strong team taking on the 13.1 miles to raise funds. All funds raised by Cure Leukaemia's team this year will go towards funding vital specialist research nurses across the country. Without these nurses, blood cancer patients, that have exhausted standard treatments for the disease, would miss out on accessing pioneering and potentially life-saving drug and transplant therapies. Not only will these funds directly help save lives, they will also hasten global progress towards eradicating all forms of blood cancer within 25 years. Please help me raise funds so this great charity can continue to save lives and fight blood cancer.
