Story
Whoever gives food to a fasting person to break his fast, shall have his sins forgiven, and he will be saved from the Fire of Hell, and he shall have the same reward as the fasting person, without his reward being diminished at all." (Ibn Khuzaymah)
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركا
This Ramadan, I have partnered with Human Appeal to support families who are in need of food to break their fasts.
This year, we’re focusing on eight countries that urgently need your help. A sum of £70 can change Ramadan for a family in Bangladesh, Iraq, Pakistan, Palestine, Somalia, Sudan, Syria or Yemen. Each pack contains several kg of sugar, rice, and flour, as well as local preferences, such as chickpeas, lentils, tea, milk powder or pasta.
Human Appeal has been feeding the fasting for 30 years, and last year, with your support, we helped 201,309 people during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, across seven countries. With your help, we provided 23,793 families with nutritious food parcels lasting the entire month – that’s over 142,000 people – and provided 9,760 hot iftar meals.
During distributions, all staff will wear face masks and observe social distancing, and we are adhering to all local COVID-19 measures. In Pakistan, for example, gatherings are prohibited, so we will perform no-contact deliveries to each home.
