Coming out, or being outed as LGBTQ+ can lead to young people being made homeless. This is the reality for 77% of the young people akt supports. We proudly offer safe homes and better futures for LGBTQ+ people aged 16-25.

Story

Hi there!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 14th of May (a day before my birthday!) Me and my partner shall be running the Leeds Half Marathon and this will be my first ever half marathon!

Also, on the 4th of June we shall be climbing the Yorkshire Three Peaks (25 miles) for the Albert Kennedy Trust in order to raise funds for the 4800 youths in the UK that are either homeless or living in hostile environments.

Going through my personal struggles during coming out, I was fortunate enough to have a great support network around me that during my time of need. That is the reason why I want to do something for the younger LGBT homeless and vulnerable community. You help is most appreciated.
