With Covid-19 resulting in more and more people self-isolating and feeling disconnected, the need for connection has never been greater.Thats why Im taking part in the #RemoteRelay, taking on a 10k RUN to raise money for South London Cares. South London Cares is a community network of younger and older neighbours hanging out and helping one another in our rapidly changing city. They do this because whilst London is a vibrant, fun and exciting place to live, it can be incredibly isolating, lonely and disconnecting.Throughout COVID-19, South London Cares has been supporting older people by delivering Virtual Social Clubs, creating phone friendships, posting #AloneTogether packs full of daily creative activities and regularly checking in with the most isolated in their network.On the week of 20th July, Im taking part in South London Cares #RemoteRelay team.
