Amnesty International is now over 50 years old but sadly is still needed. People's human rights are abused all over the world - people like journalist Eskinder Nega, imprisoned for writing articles critical of the Ethiopian government, Jabeur Mejri, serving a prison sentence in Tunisia for posting pictures of the prophet Mohamed on Facebook, and Yorm Bopha, jailed in Cambodia on false charges for peacefully challenging corrupt local authorities.
On 12 December the Mayfair and Soho Group will be remembering by name these and hundreds of other people who have suffered violence, imprisonment and other human rights abuses.
Please sponsor us generously for the number of names we read, so that Amnesty can continue its vital campaigns for the victims of human rights abuses throughout the world.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Amnesty International UK Section Charitable Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Thank you for your generosity!
