The Amoria Bond Charitable Trust pledged to build 100 homes for extremely marginalised people who are living on the fringes of society in extremely difficult & unsecured conditions. 

Employment, safety, fear of landslides & floods & being able to leave children or their homes securely are daily concerns for these families.

By contributing you will be an integral part of the support team which is aiming to change lives!

All the volunteers will be taking a week of their annual work leave , paying for their flights & expenses to contribute as a volunteer towards the final stage of building 100 homes, which will create homes for over 500 people.

One of the most important things about this project is that EVERY penny sponsored goes directly to  Project Peru, to making a difference at grass roots level.

The charity Project Peru was chosen for this initiative because it has a long-standing presence and reputation within the Las Laderas Peruvian community & because it is well respected and run BY local people FOR local people.

ALL contributions end up where they are intended - in the community.

And it's not a hand out. This project helps creates employment for the local people whom we will be working alongside.

Each member of the Amoria Bond volunteer team needs to raise at least £1000 (in addition to self-funding the trip). This will contribute to the funding of AT LEAST one complete home. Just £750 will build a real home with 4 walls, a roof and lockable door (things we take for granted). 

Your donation, no matter how small, will help make this happen.

What contributions will fund:

£750 - a complete home for up to 6 people

Breakdowns:
£145 - concrete base for home
£120 - a roof
£280 (£70 x 4) - four walls
£90 - wages for local employment of builders
£50 - lockable door to provide security
£40 - transport & delivery of all materials
£25 - nails & fixtures

With your support, our goal is to complete the last 20 homes which will total 100.

By night, we will be staying in the children’s refuge which is a sanctuary for many of the children who’s families (from the area the houses are being built) are not in a position to care full time for them, due to reasons such as death, employment, illness or other socioeconomic challenges.

The refuge provides a warm, loving environment, supports education & responsibilities whilst assisting the families in raising their children in times of need.

The whole project is NOT a hand out - it’s a cross cultural exchange, it’s working alongside the locals and benefactors in their home community, it’s providing much needed local employment, it’s an opportunity to inspire hope & faith to these wonderful people who have been dealt a rough card in life. We will share with you some of their stories & the
impact your support has, when we are over there!

What will you get:
As well as knowing that you are making a very real difference to communities & families lives, as a thank you for your support & contribution....

- we will create & send you a full post expedition report & video in which you will be personally mentioned & thanked

- we will provide video updates from the project, shared with you - so that you can actually see the real difference your contribution is making. We will be speaking with some of the beneficiaries & people who’s lives we are impacting. 

This is also a huge stretch for many of the team - well outside of their comfort zones.  Most have joined to make it happen but also after considering how fortunate we are, growing up in a society where there is so much we take for granted....and realisinghow important it is to give back.
