The strength of one person is nothing compared to the power of a team, so therefore six crazy determined Amplifi team members will be taking part in Tough Mudder on the 6^th May to raise as much money as possible for our chosen charity Sobell House Hospice.

Tough Mudder is 10-12 miles of mud and 20+ obstacles designed to drag us out of our comfort zone. Us six as a group are the combined age of 199, we are more up for the ordinary but we thought ‘why not try something extra’ so that is exactly what we are doing. Not only will we be running nearly a half marathon, along the way we will be facing some of the toughest obstacles including the Arctic Enema, which is an icy plunge that includes a high speed entry slide into 10 tons of ice that is jammed into this fridge dumpster dive. The Block Ness Monster (the name says it all), this is an epic and tricky as Nessie herself, we have to help one another push, pull, and roll our way through 60ft of slick, rotating barriers. This is just 2 of the 20+ we will be up against.

We have chosen to raise as much money as possible for our chosen charity because of our friend and colleague Bobby Campbell who has worked at Dentsu Aegis for 6+ years. Unfortunately in August 2016 Bobby was diagnosed with cancer of the Kidney and a Tumour on his spine. Since the news Bobby has undergone a major back operation and had a number of radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatments. The last 7 months has without doubt been the hardest time for Bobby and his family but he has always had a smile on his face and never once complained. Bobby’s strength and determination is admired by so many, so that is why, we as a team want to give something back and raise as much money as possible for the Sobell House Hospice.

Sobell House are the palliative care doctors and nurses who have already made a massive difference for Bobby.
