Story
On July 17th this year, I’m taking on a charity skydive for Gloworm Festival’s charity partner, Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity.
Over the past year I’ve been on a weight loss journey and have lost almost 5 stone. Skydiving is something I never would have been able to do before, so being able to take on something like this now feels like a huge personal achievement. It’s a challenge that means a lot to me personally, and I’m really proud to be doing it for such an incredible cause.
As a big sister to six siblings, it also means so much knowing that places like Birmingham Children’s Hospital exist. Knowing that if any of them ever needed the specialist care and support the hospital provides, it would be there for them, is something that really hits home for me.
At Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, they believe there’s always more they can do for their sick kids, which is why they continually strive to do more for their patients and families.
It’s their mission to raise the vital funds needed to make a real difference to everyone who uses the hospital. Your support empowers them to take innovative approaches to treating some of the sickest children in the UK, helps make the hospital feel just like home, and funds groundbreaking research to find new ways to treat and cure childhood diseases.
