Story
As some of you may know, in September of last year my dad sadly and unexpectedly lost his wife to a stroke in her sleep. Since then, I have been volunteering in a stroke rehabillitation class once a week and I have seen first hand the devastating effects a stroke can have, both emotionally and physically, not only on that person but also on the people around them. I have become particularly close with a wonderful man named Zia. Depsite our teacher telling us off on the reg for not following instructions (by which I mean turning the apparatus into Jedi swords) seeing him recover and get stronger is genuinely the most rewarding hour of my week. It's safe to say that in this time this is a cause that has become very close to my heart. On the 29th May I will be running in the London Vitality 10000 on behalf of the Stroke Association, who not only work towards prevention but also help those who have already suffered. Any donations no matter how big or small would me much appreciated 👊
