Story

I am shaving my hair off to raise awareness of a charity close to my heart which is TSA. As i witnessed how much my mum struggled bringing up my older sister who has Tuberous Sclerosis which is a complex genetic condition. Children with Tuberous Sclerosis can have growths (in their Brain, Heart, Eyes, Kidneys, Lungs or on their Skin). They may also have Epilepsy, Learning Disabilities, Autism, Spectrum Disorder and Renal problems. The unpredictability of the condition makes it hard for families to cope with symptoms which can vary considerably with some children showing few symptoms while others are more severely affected. Symptoms may also become more apparent as a child grows and develops. After losing both parents my sister had to oversee her own care, due to her illness its a miracle she has been blessed with 3 beautiful little boys, 2 of which are identical twins who also suffer from TS.I am so proud of how well she copes with day to day life and being the amazing mother and wife she is, as well as having to manage with TS. So I am doing this for them all to try and help to find a cure to end this awful illness.
