Event: Jump for St John's
In memory of Barbara Willshaw
Jumping for St John's on 30th May from Flookburgh and the 18th September from Cockerham.

Story

I am doing this Skydive on the 18th September to raise money for St John’s Hospice in Lancaster. Every penny helps them to provide care, compassion and support for local people and those who love them.

This is in memory of my Auntie Barbara who sadly passed away
in July after a short 3 month battle with cancer.

St John’s provided a team that visited my Auntie at her home
and gave palliative care to aid her comfort and helped support the family at this difficult time.

Unfortunately, the time came for Barbara to be admitted to
the hospice. They provided a high standard of specialist care and support around the clock. She quickly deteriorated and the team at the hospice ensured her last few days were as comfortable as possible.

Although she spent a short time at the hospice the staff
were so kind and supportive to Barbara and the family, especially in the difficult circumstances around dealing with Covid. We were lucky enough to be able to visit and spend quality time with my Auntie, which I will always be grateful for.

Please give what you can to sponsor me- but more
importantly to raise vital funds for this hospice which relies mostly on public donations to operate. Your money will ensure that St John’s continues to provide much needed support when families like mine need it most. Thanks for reading, Amy. X
