It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

At the beginning of the first lockdown, a group of friends came together as a virtual group to support each other through lockdown by chats, exercising together when we were allowed to and generally boosting each other on a day to day basis.

Very recently one of our group lost her Mum Geraldine Rigden to pancreatic cancer after a period of treatment and a very brave fight. No words can take away the pain and loss that is felt but as a group of friends we want to join together for 28 miles in February in memory of Geraldine and to raise awareness and money for this great cause.

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer die within 3 months. Survival rates have improved enormously for most cancers, yet for pancreatic cancer, this is not the case. Pancreatic Cancer UK is dedicated to taking on this injustice using every possible means. They're supporting people with pancreatic cancer now, campaigning, and funding vital research to transform the future. Help them to make the breakthroughs that people with pancreatic cancer so desperately need.
