Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Sadly on the 4th October i lost my dad, a strong man who fought many illnesses. Dad will always be an inspiration to his 3 daughters and grandchildren and i'm sure he will be with me in spirit during this marathon to keep me going.
As you all know i'm a keen runner and have completed a few marathons.. well 5 years ago.. ah! Rarely have i ran to raise money (8 years ago) , however... Hospice exmouth have helped look after my dad for the last 3 years, we could not have done this without them especially the support to my mum . I would love to give a little back and help a charity that is also struggling in these weird times!! Any donation would be appreciated.
I won’t lie, over the last two weeks staying focused to complete training runs has been hard! Lack of emotional strength ,On Tuesday 20th October we say goodbye to dad, this same week I have my last 20 mile run, but knowing I’m now running to raise money for hospice will keep me going!
On the day i will be running with Brian Glover, this is Brian's first marathon and has kept me going on long training runs through hard times! So please feel free to also wish Brian luck and add the pressure to complete ;-)
Even if COVID stops this event, we will run in our bubble virtually.
