This is a song I began to write some years ago when my son was a baby but I did not complete it.
In 2018, our first grandson, Noah, was stillborn at 38 weeks and having seen how cataclysmic this event was to the whole family, I decided that the song should be finished and dedicated to my children and grandchildren. The inspiration to finish the song has been Noah.
A new granddaughter, Evie, came along in the November of 2019 and she is a wonder.
My daughter, Amy and husband, Martin, have been supported by the Tommy’s charity which supports bereaved families and I thought that this might be a way to support the valuable work that Tommy’s does.
Listen to the song via the link and if you feel you can, please donate to Tommy’s.
Words in songs can often articulate what we as people can’t always say to each other and I hope the words in the song offer some comfort. In these unprecedented times, its message is perhaps more universal. Please share.
