Sadly, everyone knows someone who has required the support of Macmillan. Running a half marathon was something I had set my eyes on, it very quickly spiralled in to a larger challenge of an ultra marathon and then even quicker in to one event every month of 2022. The Great North Run is iconic, the ultramarathon is quite simply crazy and the rest of the year is just for fun I guess. Why not raise money as we do it and for a cause that has touched my heart directly in the past, continues to touch my family's heart and will no doubt be supportive of friends and family in the future.
