Story

Friends and Family, a heartfelt thank you for taking the time to visit my just giving page! I am lucky enough to have been offered a place to run my first London marathon for The British Dyslexia Association, with the dream to raise £1,000 for this cause very close to my heart.

As some of you may or may not know I was diagnosed dyslexic relatively late at the age of 15. At that age to be doubted and told that I wouldn't be able to get any grades let alone pass any exams was a big knock to my confidence. When I changed schools and got the support I needed, my confidence grew and I passed all of my exams and I'm currently studying Psychology at University.

Dyslexia continues to be a misunderstood disability and yet one in 10 of the population (across of all ages) has Dyslexia to some degree. It can cause low self esteem, anxiety or even depression if unidentified. I was lucky enough to have amazing support through my previous school but I know that many others do not have such an advantage.
