Story
In the last 12 months unfortunately me and James have experienced pregnancy loss, we never thought we would experience it once let alone multiple times in such a short space of time
Throughout the last year the different hospitals we’ve been to have had different levels of care, as you can imagine with how the NHS is, none of the hospitals gave substantial after care for either myself or James.
Luckily we had found the Sophia Pregnancy Loss Charity. They’re a charity based in Nuneaton/Bedworth and provide all sorts of support. They hold support groups, are a listening ear when you need it. They make your loss a big deal no matter how early it happened, which is what hospitals fail to do. You get little to no support, unless your loss occurred after 21 weeks - this happened in our case anyway.
SPL have given us support to help through the last 12 months and I can’t thank them enough. Which is why I’m fundraising to give something back to them.
Skydiving, heights and planes are not things I enjoy at all, however I’ll conquer my fears if it means I do our babies we’ve lost proud, help others who need it and make miscarriage less of a taboo subject.
