Story
I'm taking part in the Great North Run to raise money for my beautiful Niece, Megan. She sadly lost her battle with Mitochondrial Disease when she was just 3 years old.
The Lily Foundation was founded in Lily's memory, a little girl who lost her life at just 8 months old. The charity aims to give hope, answers and support to the many other children and families that face the challenges of this disease.
Last year, Megan would have been 10 years old, so taking part in the Great North Run and raising money was really important for me - unfortunately due to Covid, it was postponed - all the more reason to take part this year and raise lots of money for an excellent cause.
Any donations will be greatly appreciated, please stand with me and let's work towards a future where we can overcome mitochondrial diseases!
