Story

Thank You for visiting my ‘Just Giving’ page!

Here you can sponsor me for as much or as little as you would like. Every pound counts!!!! Please remember to click GIFT AID!!!

I am doing this Skydive from 10,000ft high!!!!!! For my wonderful Dad Paul Scott, and people like him. He has suffered 3 heart attacks in the last 5 years.

The skydive will take place on Saturday 26 May 2012.

Heart Disease can affect anyone, not just old people, people who smoke or who are obese. Little girls can have unhealthy hearts, fit athletes can have heart attacks. Any one of us could have a problem with our Heart. Statistics show that 1 in 3 people die from Heart Disease. And 1 in 135 babies are born with a heart condition which will affect them throughout their lives.

Heart Disease is the biggest killer in the UK. More people die from Heart Disease each year than Cancer. However it is falling. Unlike Cancer heart disease can be fast and unexpected. It is often extremely difficult for sufferers to fully recover as they become anxious and suffer ongoing problems for the rest of their lives. Because it can be so unexpected often families who loose a loved one suffer and find it difficult to move on with their everyday lives. The BHF offers support for Heart Disease sufferers as well as support for their families and friends.

I am raising money to help with research. “The mending broken hearts appeal” Scientists very close by at the University of Newcastle are researching how in the future we will be able to repair our own hearts with stem cells. We were all able to grow a new, whole heart before we were even born. But at the moment we are NOT able to repair our own hearts once they have been damaged by a heart attack. With a lot of research from professors all over the world within the next 10 years people will be able to survive heart disease.

Broken Hearts will be able to be treated.

Please spare some of your hard earned pounds ££££’s and sponsor me to SKYDIVE! I am nervous about it already!!!! If I reach my target it will definitely be worth the fear ill be putting myself through!

Thank you all so much!
