Thai-Laos Cycle Challenge 2023 · 24 March 2023

Since 2015, UK wholesale, convenience retail, FMCG and service-provider executives have raised a staggering £830,000 for MAG's life-saving work. Please support them as they take on the Thai-Laos Cycle Challenge in March 2023

Story

Between 24th March and 2nd April 2023, I will be joining 34 wonderful Convenience and Wholesale sector friends to cycle from Chiang Rai in Thailand to Luang Prabang in Laos, in order to raise invaluable funds for MAG (Mines Advisory Group).

With all your help, I am so proud to have personally been able to raise £15,000 over the years for this wonderful charity. And I'd love to now make that £20,000! Please do spare whatever you can to support their incredible work across the world.

Every day, around the world, 15 people are killed or injured by landmines or unexploded bombs and half of the civilian casualties are children. Women, men and children are living with the daily threat from these indiscriminate killers; unable to farm, attend school or play outside without fear.

The team at MAG find and destroy landmines, cluster munitions and unexploded bombs in places affected by conflict. They also work to reduce the threat of armed violence and the impact of weapons on communities. Since 1989, they have helped over 20 million people in 70 countries, including Iraq, Nigeria, Vietnam, Laos, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sierra Leone, Syria and latterly Ukraine.

Please support me as I aim to raise £5,000 which will help us to smash the team target of £170,000 and reach the milestone of £1 MILLION raised for MAG since our sector colleagues started this adventure in 2015!
