Our beautiful daughter, Poppy Rose, died earlier this year, shortly after her due date, before she was born, on the 18th March.

Some of our lovely friends suggested we all get involved in the Petals Virtual 10k event after learning of the invaluable counselling support the charity has provided to George and I, during what has been a deeply traumatic time. 

We are hopeful that through this event we will be able to raise a little bit of money for a charity we believe provide an essential service to bereaved parents. Importantly, we are also hopeful that it may raise awareness of a charity we hope you’ll never need to signpost a friend to.

About Petals:

For parents who lose a baby, the grief and trauma completely takes over their life and many struggle to move on from their experience. At Petals we have a team of highly trained, compassionate counsellors who support parents at their lowest. We sit, listen and guide parents through the processing of their emotions and trauma. Reassuring them and getting them to a place where they can begin to recover and find hope for the future. That's what drives us to work hard and support as many parents as we can. Every counselling session costs £70 and thanks to our supporters we are able to raise money and help more parents now.
