Story

I have decided to volunteer to do an abseil down the Forth Rail Bridge in order to raise money for SAMH. SAMH is the Scottish Association for Mental Health and aims to help those suffering form mental health problems. The abseil is 165 feet so im really putting myself out my comfort zone!!

The reason i have decided to do this challenge is to raise awareness about mental health in children/teenagers and urge them to seek help which is a cause close to my heart. No matter what age you are mental health problems can affect any of us including children. 1 in 4 people will suffer a mental health problem at some point in their life and not everyone seeks help for it. In particular children/teenagers may find it more difficult to ask for help due to the stigma attached to mental health. Talking to someone and asking for help is okay and nothing to be ashamed of. To anyone out there who thinks they are suffering from a mental health problem please seek help as there is always someone willing to listen. Any donations are welcome no matter how big or how small IT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Thank you!!
