Hello, Im a 20 year old Student Nurse from Heysham. I have grown up around the RNLI, with my Dad being on Morecambe Lifeboat crew for 26 years and my mum being involved with the retail and press side to the charity. I have been a volunteer crew member at Morecambe Lifeboat Station for 3 years and been on many rescues on both Hovercraft and Lifeboat. Its a big part of my life. Being on the crew involves alot of commitment but the satisfaction from doing this is enormous.

Lifeboat crews come from all walks of life to give up their time to carry out rescues that save lives at sea. Crews are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. They respond at a moment's notice, no matter where they are or what they are doing when the pager goes off.

I have decided to set myself the challenge of running 13.1 miles to raise money for the RNLI in September. I'd really appricate it if you could spare as little or as much as you can afford to give to help me reach my target of £500.
