Cancer affects and will affect all of our lives at some point. The scary and shocking statistic of 1 in 2 of us now will get cancer in our lifetime it’s more important than ever to support research to help find further treatments and to help as many people as possible who will be diagnosed with cancer.

From funding state-of-the-art equipment and groundbreaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer’

I know many people personally who have been affected by cancer and the devastating effects it has on the family, friends and of course the individual themselves who has been diagnosed with this cruel illness. It is a scary reality to think cancer is so common more so than ever before. I felt it was important to raise money to make a contribution towards the Royal Marsden as every penny counts and will assist in making a difference.

The Marsden March 2020 was postponed due to COVID and has been rearranged a number of times but due to the current situation we are in, the event has been made virtual instead. However, my Mum (Pauline), Lynn, Angela and I will still be going out to complete the miles required on Sunday 23rd May 2021.
