Make-A-Wish UK is part of a global movement that exists to make life-changing wishes come true for the thousands of critically ill children across the UK. The power of a wish allows families to create lasting memories that they will treasure forever – no matter what the future holds.

Story

Make-A-Wish is an amazing charity which I am really passionate about. They make a direct and incredible impact on the lives of very sick children and their families. Life is precious and far too short already and so these wishes really do change lives and create magical memories not only for the severely ill children but for the families that they may leave behind.

In the spirit of this charity, to give these children a reason to smile, I will be running the Cambridge Half Marathon on Sunday 5th March while carrying a 4ft 7" tall, 5kg HUGE toy monkey on my back. This is not the monkeys first rodeo, he survived a 10K last year but is now back for a bigger challenge in aid of this awesome charity. I can't lie, 10K was very tricky, so 21K is going to be a challenge with him on my back. Maybe I am bananas for doing this.

If you are able to, please help me reach my target of £175 for Make-A-Wish. This is £1 for every ounce of weight I will be carrying of the giant monkey. As an extra reason to donate, the monkey needs a re-name and so for every £1 that you donate the name you suggest will be entered into a random ballot to be selected following the race!

Thank you for reading this! x
