Run for Refugees 2020

Virtual Edinburgh Marathon Festival Full Marathon 2021 · 30 May 2021 ·
Originally I was raising funds for the Scottish Refugee Council by training for the Edinburgh half marathon in May. For obvious reasons this has been delayed and is now due to take place in September 2020. I hope to be wrong, but I can't imagine such a large gathering going ahead in early September either (Update: I wasn't wrong, it's been cancelled). So, in the spirit of fun and wanting to continue to raise funds for the SRC, I have an alternative plan...
I will train to run 13.1 miles on the re-arrange date of Sunday 6th September. Instead of running with a crowd, I will run it on my own in or around Glasgow (going through 4 parks - Pollok, Queens, Glasgow Green & Kelvingrove). The extra part of this plan is that people who sponsor me get to set me an extra challenge to be carried out on the day or during training! (Eek!).
I will share updates on my training and the challenges on here and on Twitter.
Thanks for checking out my fundraising page and feel free to share with others. A massive THANK YOU to everyone who has sponsored me so far. It is much appreciated!
Andrea
