On the 7th Of April I Will embark on the challenge of a lifetime to The Sahara Desert to participate in The Marathon Des Sables , 250 km  or approx 160 miles across sand dunes,salt plains,dry wadis in temperatures of  between 40 and 50 degrees,                                                   In six days in what is known to be one of the most inhospitable environments known to man , we will aim to complete ,all self sufficient  carrying everything we need in our rucksacks on our backs ,all except our tents, water will be rationed each day, and we will share a tent each night with 7 other participants.                                                                              All of our equipment should weigh no less than 6.5 kg and no more than 15 kg, mine as it is now is 8.5 without water .                                          Our food must be at least 2000 calories a day totaling to  at least 14000 for the week, and all of our food must be labeled and show nutritional content,otherwise we can be penalized on registration.       Compulsory items include anti venom pump ,compass,lighter,pen knife ,we will be up and out each day by six thirty am starting each stage of our journey, seven stages in total .
