Virtual Edinburgh Marathon 2021 · 30 May 2021 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am running the Edinburgh Marathon on the 30th of May 2021 for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) as running has always been a passion of mine and the charity is close to my heart.
I have suffered with my mental health for the last 24 years, more so than ever in the last 5 years. After being admitted to hospital in August 2019, with the help of medical professionals, family and friends I re-discovered my passion and strength to put my running shoes back on which helped me to cope with my mental health. However, with the impact of Covid-19 and other factors I had another set-back in August 2020 and could no longer see a positive light and wanted to end the pain. I am forever thankful for the incredible response and efforts of the team of volunteers at Stonehaven RNLI that saved my life that night.
As a charity, the RNLI depends on our donations so it can go on saving lives and keeping us and our loved ones safe. RNLI lifesavers are our lifeline. They’re the lifeboat crews who provide 24-hour search and rescue right around the UK and Ireland. The lifeguards keeping watch on 240 of the busiest beaches in the UK and Channel Islands.
More than ever we need the RNLI’s help and they need ours. I appreciate any support and donations to help this charity.
