Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have spent the past few months training for UK Ironman 70.3 Triathlon in Somerset. I am choosing to swim 1.2mile, cycle 56 mile and run 13.1 mile not only for the physical challenge but also to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. The race is on 19th June, just 3 days away!!!!
Donations are in aid of my chosen charity The Multiple Sclerosis Society and also the Rotary-Ironman UK Nominated Charities: Children's Hospices, Air Ambulance, Cancer Charities (The Leukaemia Research Fund, Marie Curie Cancer Care, CLIC Sarjent, McMillan Cancer Relief, Cancer Research UK), Life Education Centres, Help for Heroes.
MS is a devastating disease of the central nervous system that strikes young adults. It is an incurable disease, causing a range of disabilities such as problems with co-ordination, speech and vision. Relapses can leave people in a wheelchair and often accelerate their decline, making it difficult to live or work without care. MS is devastating because it is so unpredictable. The progress, severity, and specific symptoms of the disease cannot be foreseen. You never know when attacks will occur, how long they will last, or how severe they will be.
I want to try to make a difference in the fight against multiple sclerosis. I hope I can count on you to help me reach my goal and make a difference in the lives of those affected by MS.
Thank you for the generous support and hope you’re giving to the 200 people diagnosed with MS every week!
