Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
NOTES OF HOPE On Saturday the 21st of September We are having a fundraiser for Rochdale and District Mind (mental health charity). The charity help people in Heywood, Middleton or Rochdale who need help and support with mental health issues. |
I have called it "Notes of Hope" because my plan is to get as many people involved as possible to show that there is support and people do care if anyone is feeling that low.
Over the years there have been a few people sadly jumped from Junction 19 motorway bridge.
Now what I want to do is to shout out loud and show that people do care and no one more than Middleton folk!
So, I am going to do a fundraiser in Middleton Arndale Centre where Rochdale and District Mind will be providing merchandise and information, and signposting to other organisations where people can write their 'Note of Hope' (what would you say to someone feeling depressed or even suicidal?) for a donation however big or small. This will run from 10-4pm. At 6pm, I am going to place the Notes of Hope on the motorway bridge (with the HOPE we can change someone’s mindset) with volunteers. I'm hoping that the Samaritans will be able to attend to give support if needed.
From 7pm we will carry on the event with a fundraiser evening at the Friendship Inn on Cheapside, Middleton with food, karaoke, disco raffles and lots more stuff going on. Let’s all pull together, do our bit and have a great day.
Remember it’s Nice to be Nice ,
Can you help me to help others? ❤️
