I was lucky to receive a ballot place for this year's BHF London to Brighton Bike Ride which takes place on Sunday 18th June. Having never ridden a road bike before (and actually being petrified of being out on the open road!!), I decided that I should tick this event off my "list" of challenges and just go for it. So here I am! 55 miles of road to take on, a few massive hills but hopefully some fun as well. I’ll be riding alongside my brother who’s raising money for MIND.

I have decided to fundraise for Mayhill Junior School. Both boys attend the school, and as both a parent and an employee, I see how essential funds are to ensure that the children have vital opportunities to learn and develop. With this in mind, the school are currently raising funds for a number of things from a "wish list" which includes new iPads which are used for a number of areas of learning throughout all year groups.

If you have a few £'s that you might be willing to donate, it really will make all the difference to contributing towards a really costly outlay for the school.
