After 3 years since our last departure, Dreamflight is go! Short of any last minute challenges, Dreamflight is ready for take off on October 15 2022

Dreamflight is a UK charity that takes 192 kids with a life threatening illness or disability on a holiday of a lifetime to Orlando. It is not just a holiday though; it does something medicine can't. The children get an opportunity to discover independence, confidence, and a whole new outlook on life. Often for the first time, they realise that they are not the odd one out. They gain perspective and experience things that they never thought possible.

Since our last trip in 2019, we have many young people in desperate need of Dreamflight, not just because of their illness or disability, but because of the impact Covid has had on their mental wellbeing.

As most of you know, Dreamflight is a charity very close to our hearts and we’re taking on some physical challenges during September to raise awareness & funds.

Phelipe will complete a downwind kitesurfing of 290km to kick off the month & on September 10th, the rest of us will take part in a trek through London. Setting out from Putney Bridge, we will head East towards the City, zig-zagging over 16 historic bridges. 25km later, we’ll finish at Tower Bridge, slightly weary from both the physical exertion and the likelihood that Andrea and Louise will have had to carry/drag/push Liz along the route!!

I’m sure there will be bruises, blisters, burns and cuts to share post events

Sem desafios de última hora, o Dreamflight está pronto para decolar em 15 de outubro de 2022 Dreamflight é uma instituição de caridade do Reino Unido que leva 192 crianças com uma doença ou deficiência com risco de vida em férias para Orlando. Não é apenas um feriado; faz algo que a medicina não pode. As crianças têm a oportunidade de descobrir independência, confiança e uma visão totalmente nova da vida. Muitas vezes, pela primeira vez, eles percebem que não são os estranhos. Eles ganham perspectiva e experimentam coisas que nunca pensaram ser possíveis. Desde nossa última viagem em 2019, temos muitos jovens precisando desesperadamente do Dreamflight, não apenas por causa de sua doença ou deficiência, mas pelo impacto que o Covid teve em seu bem-estar mental. Como muitos de vocês sabem, a Dreamflight é uma instituição de caridade muito querida e estamos enfrentando alguns desafios físicos durante o mês de setembro para aumentar a conscientização e os fundos. Phelipe completará um kitesurf downwind de 290km para começar o mês e no dia 10 de setembro, o resto de nós participará de uma caminhada por Londres. Partindo da Putney Bridge, seguiremos para o leste em direção à cidade, ziguezagueando por 16 pontes históricas. 25km depois, terminaremos na Tower Bridge, um pouco cansados ​​tanto do esforço físico quanto da probabilidade de Andrea e Louise terem que carregar/arrastar/empurrar Liz ao longo do percurso!!
