With the exceptional support and care of Global Adventure Challenges, combined with highly trained leaders and medics, we will achieve and conquer the toughest of treks together as one all whilst raising funds to help us continue saving lives and funding world-class research here in Wales.
In addition to the amazing work that Cancer Research Wales complete, my main reason for supporting this charity is to minimise the impact of cancer on the patients, their families and friends. Having experienced this dreadful disease as a carer and seen the power and destruction it can cause, anything that we can do to help eradicate such an invasive disease is a bonus.Every penny that I am able to raise will be spent here in Wales, helping to support their life-saving projects taking place in our Universities and Hospitals.
Every 30 minutes, someone in Wales is diagnosed with cancer, and each week 171 families in Wales lose a loved one to cancer. There are now over 130,000 people in Wales who are living with, or have had cancer; this number would almost fill Cardiff’s Principality Stadium twice over, and by 2030 it is estimated that this figure will nearly double. As you can see, there has never been a greater need for research.
