As many of you know Mum was cared for at the hospice at the end of her life after losing her battle with cancer. The staff and nurses are absolute angels. Mum could not have been better cared for. We could visit at anytime we wished. We could stay as long as we wanted And there are even facilities for families to stay overnight with loved ones. There are family rooms and tea and coffee facilities. The bed mum was in cost 10 thousand pounds alone. There are counselling services for adults and children. All the support you need. Th hospice is incredible and so needed in our community. It is so close to my heart and so this is why, in memory of my beautiful Mum, I am going to walk 400 miles by the end of September. Thank you for donating ❤️East Cheshire Hospice is the 2nd lowest funded Hospice in the UK, so fundraising activities like this challenge are essential to keeping the Hospice's services going. The COVID-19 outbreak earlier this year meant that all planned fundraising activities for the Hospice had to stop suddenly with no clear idea when fundraising events will be able to take place again. The Hospice stood to lose approximately £1 million of fundraising income due to this! So this summer the Hospice is asking us to help them go the distance! Join me or sponsor me to walk my Memory Miles. Together we can help the Hospice travel from John O'Groats to Lands' End (and beyond!) and allow them to continue to provide their vital care to people who need it.
