Why?

Cancer is relentless, it affects every family and group of friends.

For me personally, I have lost too many dear family members, Uncle Dave, Aunt Helene and Josef as well as the dearest and best of friends.

We still have family and friends in recovery and fighting to win the battle.

Relay For Life celebrates the power of community fundraising to make breakthroughs happen.

How does the money you raise power progress?

- £65 could buy special restriction enzymes. These act like molecular scissors to cut long strands of DNA, allowing our scientists to find out more about the genes that can cause cancer.

- £220 could fund our team of nine cancer nurses for one hour. Our nurse helpline offers confidential support and guidance to people affected by cancer.
