It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father and grandfather, Andreas Zacharia, who passed away in the early hours of Monday morning, on the 12th April 2021, at the age of 82.

Andreas had a big heart and he adored his family, but most of all, he adored his wife Maria, enormously, which was clear to everyone who knew him and evidenced by 65 years of marriage. Sadly, Maria passed away in January 2021 and Andreas followed her soon after. 

We, his family, will remember him as the loving and caring father and grandfather that he was. His family, and his friends, will also remember him by his boundless generosity and unflagging humour.

Upon his request, we have created a donations page where we would like to invite you to make a donation in his memory to St. Christopher’s Hospice, whom he continuously praised throughout his stay. They went above and beyond to make him feel comfortable, and they were incredibly helpful to us. Staff sat with Andreas for over an hour whilst we live streamed the funeral of his wife, our mother, and our grandmother, for which we are ever so grateful.
