Story
Hey beautiful people, I am participating in the London to Brighton bike ride this year fundraising for the amazing charity Alzheimer's Research UK. Alzheimer's disease is one of those sneaky health problems that most of us never even think about until you see someone dealing with such a heartbreaking difficulty. In case you are not aware, Alzheimer disease is a progressive neurologic disorder that causes the brain to shrink (atrophy) and brain cells to die. What this means is people who are suffering from it have severe memory loss, confusion, speech and language difficulties, shortness of attention span, difficulty coping with new situations and more. Translated into simple terms your loved ones might not remember who you are, how to speak or communicate, or even do simple everyday things such as brushing your teeth, showering, cooking, cleaning.
