Once again I'm going swimming in the chilly waters of the English Channel to raise money for good causes. 

This will be the ninth time I've done this - and hopefully you'll all be as generous as you were in previous years.

Half of the money I raise will go to Cancer Research UK. Those who know me well will understand why...

The event is organised by The Lions Club of Paignton, so the other half of your sponsorship money will go to charities they support, for example Shelter Box, RNLI and Children's Hospice SouthWest.
