Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge · 12 September 2020 ·

To promote community participation in healthy recreation by the provision of facilities for the playing of rugby and bringing disabled people into contact with the sport. We aim to broaden the horizons of both our players and those of our opposition in order to promote Rugby for All.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The Bumble Bees Rugby Club were the 1st English Mixed Ability Rugby Club, they integrate players with learning and physical disabilities into the team but play full contact rugby against other rugby clubs and we held the 1st International Mixed Ability Rugby Tournament at their home ground on Wagon Lane also home to Bradford and Bingley Rugby Club. We have been invited to attend the 3rd IMART in Cork this June.

The difficulty we have is that most of our players are unwaged and therefore will find it difficult to fund the £15k that it will cost them to get there. So we, players and facilitators, intend to do the Yorkshire 3 peaks on the 12th September to raise funds for our Cork trip.

So any money no matter how small you can spare would be most gratefully received and help the lads retain the Sprite of Rugby Trophy they won at the 2nd IMART in Spain 2018 and continue to spread the word of Mixed Ability Rugby by bring in new members, working in the community, playing against other mixed ability teams and also regular rugby clubs.

Many thanks.
