During September, as part of the MS Society's My MS Run - #100K Your Way I am aiming to run up to 40K by the end of the month to raise money for the MS society, on behalf of my wife, Rachel who has been living with MS since 2015. 

It is a dreadful disease which has affected a great many people in her family, and although she has been fortunate enough to receive treatment that enables her to live a manageable life up to a point, I see every day how this illness stultifies and restricts her immense abilities as a mother, working professional and loyal friend and wife. 

I started taking running seriously for the first time in almost 20 years this year during lockdown, and although it has been a challenge with early morning starts and initial lack of fitness, these inconveniences have been but a mere drop in the ocean compared to what Rachel has to live with every day. I don't wish be a bystander to this illness, and by doing as many runs as I can I hope I can contribute to the continued research that will help Rachel in some way and the many others who live every day with MS.
