Saucony Cambridge Half Marathon 2020 · 8 March 2020 ·

West Norfolk Befriending works with socially isolated older people. Many of our clients are unable to leave their homes due to poor mobility and health issues. Our volunteer befrienders regularly visit them to bring in the outside world, sharing conversation to improve their quality of life.

Story

I'm running the Cambridge Half Marathon to raise money for West Norfolk Befriending. They provide isolated older people with volunteers who visit them on a regular basis to help connect them with the outside world.

In April 2017 my Grandmother; Kate Curtis passed away. She lived a long and happy life surrounded by a family who loved her. The work West Norfolk Befriending do means a lot to me, my Nan was extremely lucky to have such a big family. Many aren't as blessed.

West Norfolk Befriending is a relatively small charity, local to my home town of King's Lynn where I grew up. Any sponsorship you contribute will go a long way to helping fund the work they do.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my page. If you'd like to read more about the charity please visit their website:
