On Sunday 4th October I am going to run the London (virtual) marathon. Virtual doesn’t mean I can do it online (unfortunately) it means on Sunday 4th October I get to run the London marathon while staying in god’s own country.

I would appreciate any donation you can spare for amnesty international. Not only will it be tough as I have never ran further than a half marathon but It will be without the crowds to push me on. 

I have also decided with the help of some friends that a flat canal path run would be too easy (!!!!) and so I will be taking on the Yorkshire 3 peaks.

It will likely be a slow time as training has been pretty sparse but how hard can this be right! :0 

In a world of too much information and overthinking I am (maybe unwisely) not worrying too much about the preparation, hydration, fuelling and kit. I’m gonna do what I can to prepare in the next 4 weeks and see what happens. Worst case I will end up with a time you can get if you walked the distance.

Anyway wish me luck and I’ll let you know what happens.
