Fundraising for Derby and Burton Hospitals Charity
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you may be aware, I had a heart attack in July 2017. It was a totally unexpected bolt out of the blue. However, through the speedy action of Derby Royal’s A&E Department, I was assessed and operated on in a very short space of time, which resulted in less damage to my heart and a faster recovery period. Had it not been for the prompt action of the A&E Department, I’m sure my recovery would have been more prolonged.
Its been a tough year but through the help and support of family and friends, cardiac rehab, personal trainers & colleagues who have trained with me, I am now fitter than ever and ready for my next challenge! Due to my new-found love of cycling, I have decided to cycle from London to Paris, to raise much needed funds for Derby Royal’s A&E Department. Myself and a small group of die-hard cycling friends will be undertaking this marathon on Friday 15th June 2018 and we would love to raise as much money as possible.
