Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On Friday 5th October my co-driver Dennis and I will be taking part in Club Triumph's Round Britain Reliability Run (RBRR) 2018, which is a bi-annual event that's been running since 1966!!!  It'll be my 9th RBRR (I must be mad!!!) and Dennis's 2nd and together with some 150+ other Triumph cars we'll be raising money for Epilepsy Research UK (ERUK).

Club Triumph adopt a different charity each time and this year ERUK was chosen as one of the Club's 'friends' lost his fight with epilepsy in 2017.

The madness starts about 5pm from Knebworth House in Herts on Friday 5th October and we drive through the night arriving in John O'Groats for breakfast at about 8am on the Saturday morning. We then travel across the north of Scotland and head south going past the locks and Glen Coe on Saturday afternoon. Eventually heading south from North Wales and down to the west country to reach Lands End for breakfast at about 7am on the Sunday morning. The final stretch takes us across Dartmoor and up through southern England arriving back at Knebworth early Sunday evening - assuming we've not had any problems!!

In total a distance of just over 2000 miles in 48 hours with no overnight stops, grabbing sleep when we can, which is not easy in Dennis's damson 1971 GT6 MKIII.

So any donations small or preferably larger would be gratefully accepted via this JustGiving page. In 2016 we managed to raise over £3700 and were one of the top 3 fundraisers so with your help we'd like to repeat that this year - no pressure!!

THANKS VERY MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!
