As you may know, my mum MaryLou died in April 2012 due to complications arising from Lupus.

She was a truly inspirational person, never letting any of the personal difficulties brought about by this auto immune disease limit her in any way.

The Virgin London Marathon falls just over a week before the second anniversary of her passing away. MaryLou was a keen sportswoman so running the marathon is such a wonderful thing to participate in to raise much needed funds for Lupus UK WMLG.
