Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Hi everyone!
So firstly a bit about GPS ‘art’. Basically when using the exercise app Strava, satellites track your position on the earth and a line is created when you move, this line is plotted on a map and I’m using this line to create images. I use the term ‘art’ very loosely as I do not consider myself an artist, I don’t have an artistic bone in my body. All you need is a wide open space and a bit of patience.
This all started by using my daily walk to create a small tribute to the heroes of the NHS. After some good feedback I thought I’d carry on and try and make a few people smile. Yesterday a friend suggested it might be a good way to raise some money for charity so I thought there’s no harm in trying. I’ve chosen the NHS and realise many of you would have already donated to this amazing organisation, so I am aiming to raise a very modest amount but would appreciate anything you could spare.
I’m going to try create a new picture every day I’m not on duty and it’s not raining. I’ll do it for as long as we’re going through this or until people get bored of it!
Any suggestions for pictures welcome...curved lines are particularly hard though!
Thanks in advance :)
