Story
This year will be the 20th anniversary since my Dad (Colin Jones) lost his battle with cancer. He was a massive influence on me and I miss him dearly. Not a day goes by that I don't think about him.
I wanted to do something to mark the event so I am running in the London Marathon in April and a number of half marathons throughout the year. I have already entered the Colwyn Bay Metric Marathon in March, the Great Manchester Run in May, the Oxford Half Marathon in October and I am currently planning other races for June, September and November.
I though it would be a fitting gesture to say thank you to Cancer Research UK for all the hard work they do by raising much needed funds for a vitally important charity. It really is time that a cure was found for cancer and hopefully, the fundraising this year will enable that to happen. So, I would be extremely grateful if you could please sponsor me. It doesn't matter how little, just £1 would be great.
