Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.
Last year I became seriously ill with Still's Disease, a few months earlier I had recently completed a combined indoor and outdoor cycling challenge of riding the 3400 Kms distance of the 2012 Tour de France in a time of 95 hours. To then being so weak that I couldn't even ride my bike 2 miles around camp, scared me. This illness took me out of work for almost four months, and I am on drugs today to try and control it. That said I am great believer in positive medicine, with this I wanted to get back to the gym and back on my bike, which I have been able to do slowly, building up my strength and stamina. I feel I am now ready for a challenge and I have decided to enter the Prudential London Ride on the 10th August 2014, to ride 100 miles as a personal challenge. I also wanted to raise money for a Military Charity as this will be my 39th and last year in the Army. I have therefore decided to raise money for Blind Veterans (formerly St Dunstan's) Charity, as it carries out some excellent work for all our sight injured/impaired veterans, from all conflicts and accidents across the globe since World War One.
Thank you for all your continued support.
